Data Deletion Policy

Overview
Deleting your Filltr account is built into the app and does not require contacting anyone. This page describes exactly what happens when you delete your account, what is removed immediately, and the one narrow safety exception.
How to Delete Your Account
In the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion runs immediately — there is no review queue and no 30-day wait. If you cannot access the app (lost device, blocked sign-in), email us from the address on your account and we will run the same deletion for you.
What Is Deleted Immediately
Your profile and all its fields, your photos and private albums (including the storage files), your posts, your likes given and received, your profile views, your chats and the photos and voice messages inside them, your notification tokens, and your location. Other people stop seeing you the moment deletion runs.
The One Safety Exception
A snapshot of your conversations is kept in a sealed, server-only quarantine for 90 days after deletion, then purged automatically. It exists so that a report of abuse, threats, or a safety incident can still be investigated after the account that sent the messages is gone. It is not visible in the product, and it is not used for anything else. Reports filed about you or by you are retained as moderation records.
Backups
Encrypted server backups cycle out on a fixed schedule; deleted data disappears from them as the backups rotate. Backups are never used to restore deleted accounts.
Your Data, Before You Go
You can export a copy of your own data first: Settings → Privacy → Download my data. The export covers your data only — it never includes other people’s messages or profiles.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
